Christmas is drawing closer and we're welcoming the break as once again it's been a very busy year. A lot has happened in 2011 and best of all it's been another record financial year for Envico.

In our preparation for 2012 we have launched our new website backend which is now live and fully operational. Both our suppliers and our staff are already feeling the benefit of our significant financial investment. Albeit a few expected teething problems which are expected on a project of this scale.. we're pleased with the results.

We're currently working on phase 2 of our new website which will include new aesthetics, a new intuitive design with many new features and functions which will make the user experience even better.

Our sales lead generation system is growing steadily with enquiries expected to increase again in 2012 due to our further investment in search engine optimization. Two particular health and safety areas we're targeting are health and safety advice and health and safety audits, however we've targeted a whole bunch of keywords and search phrases including fire safety, noise at work, lone workers, risk assessments and so on.

Envico currently sell sales leads at a capped rate of 15.00GBP + VAT per lead, however this may increase to 20.00GBP + VAT in the future. Considering that Google cost-per-click in the health and safety sector probably averages 4.00/5.00GBP just to get a visitor to your website, we think our sales leads come at a bargain! Especially from the perspective that our sales leads are each individually qualified by a member of our staff.. we call the enquirer and establish what exactly they require and whether or not they are simply information gathering or are actually looking to purchase a health & safety service. Are ALL health safety training brokers really experiencing growth?

It will be interesting to see how our competitors are doing at the end of the financial year as we hear claims of significant growth.

The interesting question for me as the Managing Director of Envico and knowing the UK health and safety training broker marketplace is "how can all brokers be showing record months and years?". The skeptic in me and the common sense answer I personally give to this question is "surely they can't all be experiencing large growth".

If I am wrong and the claims are correct then well-done to the brokers, however unfortunately there is a down-side and that is that training providers themselves must be suffering as a result of reduced direct health and safety course bookings which is a direct result of using too many health safety training brokers. Spreading your business too thinly and losing control of who is and who isn't marketing your courses is detrimental to your business.

A note to all of Envico suppliers and training providers..

Envico do not currently and will not in the future undercut our suppliers and training provider course prices or offer guarantees to persuade the public or commercial sector to book directly with us rather than you. Envico view this as unethical. We rely on our marketing strategies, high customer service levels and professionalism to generate business.

Another Record Month for Envico

Well here we are again, it was only recently I posted some very positive news about our record financial quarter and record year to date. It seems there is currently no stopping Envico as once again August was our largest month of sales since its foundation in January 2003. We are expecting 25% growth on last years turnover figures.. maybe more, which is huge considering the UK is still in recession.

Considering that we're in the middle of a recession our health and safety business continues to grow rapidly.

Envico have worked hard and smart to achieve nine subsequent years of considerable financial growth. We think this is pretty outstanding considering our competition is now ten-fold. This trading quarter has proven to be no different to the previous nine years of trading in the health safety training sector.

It's fantastic to be able to inform you that this quarter financials are showing our highest level of turnover and highest number of course bookings by far since we started trading in 2003. The results are an exceptional achievement! They're a direct result of having the right people in the right places at the right time, professionalism, making great decisions and having a fantastic online marketing and quality strategy.

We're particularly excited about our recent company growth due to the fact our new web systems believe it or not.. still have not been launched. We expect the launch of our new system to have an even more significant impact on our customers and suppliers due to it's significantly enhanced features, refined user processes, quality control measures and 'big impact' SEO and marketing capabilities. It's always good to be the bearer of great news. We've seen what our competitors are doing and where they're going with their businesses.. we say "good luck to them!"

We've been working on and developing our new systems 'behind the scenes' for well over a year now, the developments will be rolled out in several phases in the very near future.

After nearly 9 years of successful trading in the health and safety training sector we've gone back to the drawing board to completely redesign our website management systems and revisit our marketing strategy. The results are fantastic!

We made the decision to do this as after in-depth competitor analysis and the fact that technology moves on and so do businesses. We've redesigned the systems from the ground up.. meaning we've layed the foundations for future developments, SEO strategies and most importantly 'Quality Control'.

It's taken us years to build our brand and as a result we look after it accordingly by trademarking our business and trading under only one domain name: www.envico-online.com we believe this shows strength and confidence in our brand, business and site.. this is evident in our organic Google search engine listings.

Our experience using Google PPC advertising - health and safety training courses

My role within my organization is that of online marketing, website analytics, product and service development. I am the founder, owner and Managing Director of Envico Ltd which has been successfully trading online in the health & safety training industry since January 2003.

My opinion and real life experience to date is that pay-per-click advertising (PPC) for health and safety training courses on Google in the UK has become very expensive indeed. I believe businesses can no longer continue to support or justify the ever increasing advertising cost-per-click (CPC).

There is a point at which PPC advertising in our industry sector will no longer be viable or will become an insignificant part of online and website marketing strategies, therefore effective alternative strategies are required. I believe leading training providers relying on PPC advertising alone are not far from reaching breaking point.

So what do we do?

.. or maybe the question should be more like "What should we have done?"

What was once a very attractive proposition with extremely high ROI has now become almost too expensive to continue.

Many health & safety training providers have come to rely on Google PPC advertising to drive large amounts of targeted buyers to their websites whilst growing their business to supply demand. It is clear that some of these health & safety organizations have failed to put in place a more long-term sustainable online marketing strategy and are now seriously suffering as a result of failing to plan and taking their eye off the ball.

The advice from professionals operating within the online marketing and web development sectors was and still is to focus long term web marketing strategies on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This is the secret to long-term sustainable growth and online success.

If you have not already put in to place an SEO strategy and you rely heavily on Google PPC advertising then you may find yourself in trouble later in 2011.

SEO should be part of your overall marketing strategy and don't be fooled.. this alone will not guarantee you success and also note that web driven businesses have now been developing and working on SEO for years.. it's very competitive out there and it's a slow process.

Those who have not attended a health and safety training course previously or have no experience within the health and safety field.. BEWARE! the course is very intensive and is not to be underestimated. You will need to prepare for the course and please note that you will be expected to sit 2 x two-hour written exams and complete an assignment/project.
